Graduate Talent and Employability: Meeting student expectations #grademployability
20 Nov 2012
With the increase in tuition fees and the ongoing challenges in the jobs market, the focus on graduate employability continues to be intense. Employers looking at their future workforce are examining the balance of skills and knowledge they need from their graduates, and how they can best work with universities and colleges to support future cohorts of employees. Universities, partly driven by the increasing interest that students and applicants are taking in employability and the growing prominence of destination statistics are focussing more heavily on the employability agenda. We have also seen a rise in the prominence of employability awards, and the findings of the Wilson Review examining university – business relationships taking effect across the sector.
