Speaker Biography

Patrick Smith

Patrick is a Client Executive in IBM in the Local Government Team. He leads projects to win and deliver large transformational and service delivery programmes. He is also part of IBM's Local Government Cloud team and sees this technology as a possible route to flexible shared services, perhaps enabling Councils to meet their budget challenges over the next few years.

Patrick has been working in Local Government for nine years, following three years leading IBM's Central Government team. He is a 30 year IBMer and has held many roles as Manager, Consultant and Operations Manager. Outside work he is married with three grown up children and lives in Bedfordshire. He is a keen singer with the local choir and is a member of an amateur dramatic group. He is beginning to get back into playing golf after a 20 year hiatus with very disappointing results, so far."
