Jim Ellam

Jim is a registered Social Worker and has worked within a wide variety of Residential, Hospital and Community Social Care settings since 1980 in London and Worcestershire. Since 2000 he has worked in Staffordshire managing teams and budgets. He has worked in the Joint Commissioning Unit as project lead for assistive technology since 2008.

Jim is committed to supporting people to live independently, exercising choice and control over their lives. He is keen to develop the use of Assistive Technology to enhance the lives of citizens and their carers through partnership working. He has a particular interest in working with people affected by Dementia to find effective support at the various stages of their journey.

Jim has been actively engaged locally and regionally with the evaluation and implementation of a wide range of technologies which can offer support and assessment to people at various stages of their lives.
