Gautam Mehta is a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Hepatology at UCL. Gautam has a translational research programme in alcohol-related liver disease and cirrhosis, and his work has been widely covered by the BBC, Channel 4, and the radio and print media.

Gautam has experience of smartphone-based healthcare interventions and quality-improvement methodology, in particular the AlcoChange project funded by the Health Foundation.
