Paul Ramsden

Paul Ramsden is a policy adviser, writer and commentator on teaching and learning in higher education. His work has inspired a generation of academics and influenced university effectiveness all over the world.
He is a key associate of PhillipsKPA, the company that specialises in services to the Australian and international education and training sectors, and a visiting professor at the Institute of Education, University of London.
His unique perspective on the student learning experience comes from his blend of academic research, policy expertise, and experience in senior management. He was formerly Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Sydney and the founding Chief Executive of the Higher Education Academy. He is the chair of the international advisory board of the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education.

Professor Ramsden’s best-selling book, Learning to Teach in Higher Education, is one of the world’s most influential texts on higher education teaching.
