Professor Diana Laurillard

Professor Diana Laurillard develops the Learning Designer tools for teachers. She runs a professional development MOOC for primary teachers via Coursera. Diana collaborates with the Science of Learning Research Centre at the University of Queensland and Melbourne, using educational neuroscience to develop adaptive learning games.

Formerly Head of the e-Learning Strategy Unit at the government Department for Education and Skills, Diana was also Pro-Vice Chancellor for learning technologies and teaching at the Open University.

Currently Professor Laurillard is President of the Association for Learning Technology, and is on the Government’s Education Technology Action Group. Her most recent book is Teaching as a Design Science, Routledge, 2012.
