Janet De Wilde

 Janet De Wilde
Janet De Wilde is Head of STEM at the Higher Education Academy (HEA) whose mission is to improve the student learning experience. She began her career with 5 years in industry as a professional engineer, followed by 17 years as an academic at Imperial College London. She then moved into educational development at Heriot-Watt University and was then an Executive manager of a Pan-Scotland research initiative at University of Edinburgh.

At the HEA she was author of the HEA evidence to House of Lords Inquiry on STEM education in HE. Currently the team have a strategic project investigating Mathematical and Statistical Skills in the Disciplines and Tackling Transition.
