Tony Ward

Tony Ward graduated from Bristol University with an Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He worked for some UK companies in a range of engineering and management roles.

After 18 years in industry he started a technical training company and in 1993 became a lecturer then Senior Lecturer in Engineering Management in the Department of Electronics at the University of York. Tony has an MBA, is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (UK).

He was the founding Director of the White Rose CETL in Enterprise at York and was the President of the European Association for Education in Electrical and Information Engineering for six years.

In 2010 Tony developed and still leads a new taught MSc in Engineering Management and he is the Provost of Alcuin College at the University of York. His research interests lie in engineering education and entrepreneurship.
