 Annie Doyle
Senior Project Officer, Supporting Professionalism in Admissions (SPA).

Annie was Admissions Officer at the University of York, before taking up her post with the Supporting Professionalism in Admissions (SPA) programme in January 2007. SPA is a central source of expertise on best practice in higher education admissions, as recommended by the Admissions to Higher Education Steering Group report on fair admissions (‘The Schwartz Report’, 2004).

At the University of York Annie managed the admissions processes and developed policies based on fair admissions and good practice. Previously she spent nearly four years at the University of Newcastle in project management and business systems analysis involving the design, development and implementation of admissions software. Prior to this she held a number of roles, both central and faculty based including admissions, at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. While working there in 1997 she gained an MBA where her dissertation was on the response of the University to non-standard qualifications.
