Professor Cheng Kai-Ming

Prof. Cheng Kai-Ming is the Chair Professor of Education and Senior Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor at the University of Hong Kong. He was Dean of Education and Pro-Vice-Chancellor and taught for ten years as a Visiting Professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Locally, he serves on major policy advisory bodies including the Education Commission, and has been instrumental in the current reform of the education system of Hong Kong. Professor Cheng completed his PhD in educational administration, planning and policy analysis at the University of London Institute of Education. Prior to this he taught Physics and Mathematics in secondary schools and was once a school principal. Professor Cheng has been awarded Fellowship by several esteemed academic institutions, including the London Institute of Education and the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration.
