Sheila White

Head of International Development, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply

Sheila White has been with CIPS for 12 years and has held a number of senior roles during that time. She has worked on the international side of the institute for 10 years and is now CIPS Head of International Development with a wide ranging remit of raising awareness and promoting the benefits of the procurement profession across the globe but primarily in the public sector in developing countries.

Sheila is currently working on major donor funded projects around the globe developing procurement capacity and capability building solutions for the public sector. She works closely with the client governments and agencies to design and deliver successful projects which include establishing CIPS member groups and communities of practice to foster a sense of belonging to a profession and to ensure the profession is embedded within organisations.

Sheila holds a law degree and an MBA. Sheila’s first career was as a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Service in London where she served for 13 years.
