Speaker Biography

Caroline Bosdet

Caroline joined LG Improvement and Development in January 2007 with a background of 24 years in local government. She started her career as a
librarian with the London Borough of Islington and went on to work in neighbourhood services, taking on the NVQ Customer Service programme and finally in corporate strategy. After re-locating she took on a role
spearheading Best Value and performance management in East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. She then went on to be the Head of Policy & Partnerships in Mole Valley District Council in Surrey, heading up
community safety and community planning.

As a Senior Improvement Manager she is responsible for managing the programme of direct support to local authorities in the South East and also acts as programme manager for the fire and rescue sector nationally. This
includes developing the FRA Leadership Academy, the Operational Assessment Peer Review programme and the fire and rescue
Diversity Peer Challenge programme plus providing direct support to fire and rescue services in the South East. She has qualifications in management, audit and programme management.
