Bethan Evans

Bethan Evans heads Bevan Brittan's Communities and Local Government Team. She has been a partner with the firm for 9 years following her move from public sector legal practice. She has over 20 years' experience in local government having worked as a lawyer for four councils in different roles including as Monitoring Officer and Returning Officer. She practised in many areas of law but primarily corporate governance, vires and joint ventures. At Bevan Brittan Beth leads work on shared services and joint ventures and also heads the procurement practice. She is currently advising on partnership arrangements, shared service projects for front and back office services, local authority trading companies, the implications of the Localism Bill, joint ventures and corporate governance for local authority clients. She is the Deputy Chair of the Local Strategic Partnership of a major City Council.
