Speaker Biography

Rosie Nicola

Rosie Nicola is a consultant trainer and advisor, and has been working in the employment relations field for over 25 years. Rosie was previously employed by the National Union of Public Employees (NUPE) and the Trades Union Congress (TUC), and has been working freelance in this field since 1992.

Rosie has been working with the Royal College of Midwives for a number of years, developing and providing the College’s training programme for stewards and safety representatives. She works with a wide range of public and private sector organisations, and has particular experience with NHS trade unions. She covers all parts of the employment relations spectrum.

Rosie is a graduate of Bedford College, University of London, and holds a Certificate in Industrial Relations from Middlesex University. She is an Associate Lecturer with Ruskin College Oxford, and has qualified teacher status. Rosie lives in Hull, East Yorkshire, and works across the UK developing and providing training courses, and offering assistance to employers and trade unions in the drafting and updating of policies and procedures in areas such as discipline and grievance, equal opportunities and diversity, dignity at work and health and safety. Rosie is a member of the University and College Union (UCU).
