Polly Ferguson is Nursing Officer for Women’s Reproductive Health at Welsh Assembly Government. Her portfolio covers maternity, gynaecology, sexual health and neonatal services.

Previously she has worked in hospital and community settings, as a lecturer in midwifery and as Head of the Royal College of Midwives, Wales.

She is midwife and still works regular shifts on a busy labour ward.
