Councillor Timothy Huxtable

Councillor Timothy Huxtable, (LLB) was born in Birmingham on 2 February 1973. He attended local primary schools in Birmingham and later King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys before taking his place at Leicester University to study Law.

He was employed by HSBC Bank Plc before beginning his career as a Junior Clerk and rising to Branch Manager at Kingstanding and Shirley embarking full time upon his political career. During his career at HSBC he undertook a BSc in Finance Services which he gained in 2001.

Timothy was elected Councillor for Bournville Ward in 2002 and has some been involved in politics, from being an activist for the Conservative Party since 1990. Timothy has retained his seat since 2002 representing the residents of Bournville Ward. He was appointed Cabinet Member for Transportation & Regeneration in May 2010 and, until taking up this post, was Chairman of the Regeneration Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Vice Chairman of Transportation and Street Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee. He has also Chaired the Local Services and Community Safety Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
