Sarah Flood
Sarah is a project manager with The Social Investment Business. Her primary focus is on developing Social Impact Bonds. She works to bring together financiers, commissioners and civil society organisations to develop new approaches to public service delivery that focus on long-term outcomes for society. She also promotes Social Investment Business funds and products to existing and potential civil society organisations to support their growth in the marketplace and to develop sustainable services.
Sarah works closely with her networks of local and national bodies in the public sector, social enterprise, voluntary and community sector, to ensure that The Social Investment Business offer reaches as widely as possible.
Sarah has worked in civil society organisations for over ten years primarily in roles supporting funding and financing of the sector including capacity building, programme development and policy development. In 2010 she was commissioned by NCVO’s Funding Commission to explore the current and likely future dynamics of Social Enterprise approaches. Prior to joining The Social Investment Business, Sarah was Head of New Business at the Plunkett Foundation where she led Defra’s Social Enterprise Strategic Partnership and helped to establish the Plunkett Foundation/Community Transport Association ‘Rural Social Enterprise Programme’. She has also worked for NCVO’s Sustainable Funding Team leading their Public Service Delivery Network and for New Philanthropy Capital, in partnership with ACEVO, managing their Full Cost Recovery programme.
