Moira Swinbank OBE
Chief Executive, Legacy Trust UK
Moira began her career in marketing at Pepsi Cola working on the launch of the Pepsi Challenge in the UK and Pepsi Cola’s sponsorship of Live Aid worldwide. She went on to become a Board Director of sports marketing agency, John Taylor International Limited where she was responsible for a number of key clients including Littlewoods, British Airways, Tetley Bitter and Fosters.
After three years she left to become Project Manager for ‘Le Walk’ through the Channel Tunnel securing sponsorship from the Daily Mail and raising over £1 million for The Children’s Society. She joined the NSPCC where she worked as Deputy Head of Corporate Fundraising and was part of the management team which launched The Full Stop Campaign, the largest ever charity appeal in the UK.
In 2000 she joined TimeBank, the national volunteering charity as Director of Corporate Affairs and became Chief Executive in January 2003. In April 2008 Moira was appointed Chief Executive of Legacy Trust UK. Moira is trustee of Global Charities and was awarded an OBE in the 2007 New Year Honours List for services to volunteering.
