Jackie Marshall-Cyrus

Lead Specialist in Assisted Living, Technology Strategy Board

Jackie Marshall-Cyrus joined the Technology Strategy Board on the 1st May 2008 as the Lead Specialist on the Assisted Living Innovation Platform. Jackie began her nursing career in the UK in 1999 at a nurse-led Intermediate Care/Rehabilitation Unit in Richmond and Twickenham PCT. In January 2004 she joined Brent PCT as a Ward Manager on a 60 bed Rehabilitation Unit where she received commendations for leading on the Essence of Care and for development of training and education exchange programmes across acute care and higher education. In October 2005 she completed her BSc Nursing with First Class Honours and in April 2006 was appointed Senior Lecturer and Module Leader in Pre-Registration Adult Nursing at Buckinghamshire New University. During this period she also worked as a part time tutor at Brent Adult and Community Education Services in Health and Social Care. Jackie obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2007 and recently completed her MA in Education (Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting). Her research interests include the sexuality and sexual health of older adults as well as trans-cultural nursing practice.
