Dhruv Patel

With a background in IT spanning some 25 years, Dhruv has worked predominantly in instructor-led training of end-users in new technologies. His experience and understanding of how people learn and respond to technology has led him to found the Nisai Group, It consists of Nisai Virtual Academy, to cater specifically for children out of school, Nisai Learning for the corporate and Government sectors and Nisai Technology that develops state of art collaboration and learning platforms. The company has formed collaborative partnerships with LAs, further education organisations and specialist consultancy organisations serving specific sectors.

Dhruv’s philosophy is that a blend of traditional and modern teaching methods using the latest new technologies will bring out the best in learners and tutors alike. The use of collaborative technology such as Virtual Classroom software, learners can combine preparatory and self-paced study with classroom teaching; Teachers and instructors can set assignments on-line and even testing can be done on-line. Collaborative technologies are a perfect vehicle for sharing and managing learning as well as knowledge sharing and transformation.

As testament to Dhruv’s development of The Nisai Virtual Academy, the platform was awarded a silver medal at the IMS Global Learning and Impact Awards in May 2010. At the Awards, Rob Abel, CEO of IMS stated that the Nisai Group is recognized as the world leader in personalized learning.
