Laraine Spragg

Laraine Spragg has been co-ordinating Buckinghamshire Community Childminding Network (BCCN) since its inception in 2005. Employed by the National Childminding Association, Laraine’s role has been key to the success of BCCN.

Graduating with honours in Psychology in 1990, Laraine went on to qualify as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner. She spent 3 years in private practice prior to moving to Buckinghamshire in 1995.

As a mother of 2 young people with autistic spectrum conditions, Laraine made the move into children’s services in 1997. She has a particular interest in services for disabled children and young people and spent many years working in a variety of Learning Support positions from Reception Class to Sixth Form. Laraine took up the post of Childcare Inclusion Officer with Buckinghamshire County Council’s Early Years and Childcare Service in 2002 where she remained until taking up her present position.
