Julia Hobsbawm
Julia is London's first Professor of Public Relations at the London College of Communication, University of theArts and a consultant to Edelman. She has lectured widely on communications to, amongst others, audiences at Oxford University, Columbia University, and private corporate audiences. A new edition of her acclaimed collection of essays featuring some of the leading figures in media, Where the Truth Lies: Trust & Morality in the Business of PR, Journalism and Communication will be published in September 2010. Julia is the co-author of 'The Power of the Commentariat' with John Lloyd of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. Her book about work-life balance, The See-Saw, was published and reprinted in 2009.
Julia is a patron of the Facial Surgery Research Foundation (Saving Faces) and the Zoe Sarojini Trust; a Vice-President of the Hay Festival for Literature, she is an adviser to Object, the campaign which challenges sexism, and an adviser to Treehouse, the national autism charity.
