John Aubrey Douglass’ research focuses on globalisation and higher education, the role of universities in economic development and the history and development of California’s higher education system. He leads the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) International Consortium – a group of major research universities in the US, China, Japan, Russia, Brazil, the UK, Europe and South Africa.
