Alongside his role as pro vice-chancellor, John Gyapong is a professor of epidemiology and disease control at the University of Ghana’s School of Public Health. For more than 10 years, he was director for research and development of the Ghana Health Service. His main area of research is infectious disease epidemiology, especially neglected tropical diseases.
