Madhava Menon is perceived by many as the father of modern legal education in India. He was founding vice-chancellor of two of India’s leading law universities and director of the National Judicial Academy until his retirement in 2006. He is the author of more than a dozen books on legal education and the recipient of numerous awards, including the Bar Council of India’s Plaque of Honour.
