Since 2012, Derek R.B. Douglas has spearheaded the university’s partnerships locally and internationally to advance urban economic development and enrich the work of its staff and students. He served previously as a special assistant to President Barack Obama and New York Governor David A. Paterson on domestic, economic and urban policy.
