Mr Mbeki is a politician who served two terms as the second post-apartheid President of South Africa from June 1999 to September 2008. During his tenure he oversaw a growing economy, attracted foreign investment and initiated the New Partnership for Africa’s Development which aims to develop an integrated socio-economic development framework for the continent.
