Since first joining DCU’s staff in 1986, Brian MacCraith (now professor) has developed significant research in the fields of optical chemical sensors and biosensors, biomedical diagnostics and nanobiophotonics. He has also driven DCU’s institutional developments, as well as prompting innovation in science education for primary, secondary and university students.
