Roger Murphy

Professor Roger Murphy is an educational researcher with an international reputation for his work in the field of educational assessment and evaluation. He is currently Director of the Centre for Developing and Evaluating Lifelong Learning and the Institute for Research into Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in the School of Education at the University of Nottingham. Professor Murphy is also Director of the Visual Learning Lab, which is a HEFCE funded Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Professor Murphy has worked in Higher Education for over 30 years. During that time he has been President of the British Educational Research Association, a member of the Education Panel for the National Research Assessment Exercise and Dean of Education and Head of the School of Education at the University of Nottingham. He is the author of a large number of books and articles about educational assessment.
