Gerry Linke

Gerry is a qualified RGN & RSCN and has worked within the NHS in a variety of acute settings since the 1980’s. In 2001 she trained as a Health Visitor and completed a year working in a liaison role with Social Care referral and assessment team.

Gerry has been a Named Nurse for Child Protection for over 5 years and an active member of MARAC. She was the IMR author in one the first multi-agency Homicide reviews in 2011. She subsequently completed an MSc in Child Forensic Psychology and Law and won an award for best research project-Domestic Violence and Pregnancy-Who Cares?

Gerry still considers herself a ‘foot soldier’ and believes that basic areas of good record keeping, documentation and effective communication hold the key to reducing the risks of harm to children and adults.

Areas of particular interest for Gerry include Fabricated Illness and she chairs the local FII Multi-agency interest group. She is currently involved in the setting up of the local Multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH) in Buckinghamshire which goes ‘live’ in July 2014.
