Luke Fisher-Brown
Luke Fisher-Brown is a 4th Year Graduate Entry Dental Student at Barts & The London School of Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London; with previous BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science.
As a dental student he developed a student-led oral health promotion project, focused on addressing oral health inequalities in the community. His project involved dental students engaging with homeless people through workshops held at hostels and shelters, where topical issues related to oral health were discussed with the clients. This led to further collaboration with the local Community Dental Service, piloting a scheme in which dental students compliment the clinical services through provision of customised oral health promotion for socially excluded persons attending.
He is currently in his clinical years of study, however continues to serve as a project coordinator for on-going oral health promotion workshops with St Mungo's.
