David has over 22 years’ experience in the education and skills sector, primarily with awarding organisations.

He joined NCFE in January 2007, having spent the previous 7 years as CEO of the Food & Drink Qualifications awarding organisation. David has responsibility for 3 Directorates and is the link to the NCFE Board.

David has also worked in further and higher education, with a national training organisation and with two national private training providers, giving him detailed understanding of the drivers from many perspectives within the education, training and development sectors.

He has two Fellowships to his name, an MSc in Marketing and Product Management from Cranfield University, member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has numerous memberships of other professional bodies.

In 2000 he was bestowed the Freedom of the City of London and at the same time became a Liverymen of one of London’s oldest Livery Companies. David is a qualified Food Technologist.
