Peter leads the Research and Policy team at Daycare Trust and FPI, coordinating activity through the current merger and in the light of current childcare policy reform.

Peter joined FPI in May 2011. His work to date has included analysis of the impact of austerity on local children’s services and leading “Where Now for Parenting?” – work examining what the August 2012 riots meant for the role of parents.

Peter also leads FPI’s contribution to the Family Strategic Partnership with the Department for Education. Previously, Peter has worked at Enterprise UK, promoting youth entrepreneurship, and in the learning and skills sector.

After graduating in Social Policy and Government from the LSE, he worked as a researcher for the political adviser, Lord Philip Gould.
