Emma Day

Emma studied Social Science (BPS Route) at Cardiff University, graduating with a first class honours in 2011. She went on to complete her MSc in Health Psychology at the University of Bath, where she completed a 4 month placement with the Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

In 2012 Emma was awarded the 4-year Lebedev PhD Studentship in Palliative Care for Children and Young People. She works across both the Louis Dundas Centre for Children’s Palliative Care at the Institute of Child Health, UCL, and the Marie Curie Palliative Care Research Unit, also situated within UCL. Her PhD research will investigate the involvement of young people with Life-Limiting Conditions and Life-Threatening Illnesses in decision making about their care and treatment.
