Paul is the Service Director for Promoting Independence and Public Protection at Nottinghamshire County Council.

This brings together the access and reablement functions in social care with trading standards, registration services, safety in sports grounds and emergency planning.

Paul has worked in social care for over 20 years and was the lead in Nottinghamshire for Putting People First. Part of his role now is to deliver customer improvements, consumer protection and efficiencies through the use of IT and social media. The presentation today will focus on support to self funders.

When not working Paul is currently training to complete a marathon and learning to be a cricket umpire.
