Don Brown
Don Brown is a former Detective Chief Superintendant of Greater Manchester Police. During his service he had a varied and distinguished career, highlights of which include monitoring elections in Rhodesia and being awarded the Queen Commendation for Bravery arising from a terrorist incident in Manchester.
He is an Assistant Director with Salford City Council responsible for Community Safety. In this challenging role by working with partner agencies he has contributed to a continuing overall fall in crime throughout Salford.
He is the Partnership Lead responsible for developing and implementing the City’s highly acclaimed Project Gulf. Working with various agencies they have successfully disrupted serious organised crime groups both within the Salford and nationally.
Don is a qualified lecturer and former graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University. He is regularly invited as a guest lecturer to policing events and Higher Education establishments throughout the North West.
