Dr Jacques Mizan
Jacques Mizan brings a unique skill mix to the table, as an experienced family doctor in inner city London, healthcare researcher and academic, innovator and social designer. His clinical work has exposed him to a diverse spectrum of patient groups and clinical settings, nationally in the UK and internationally in South Africa where he completed his medical training. Jacques is a Clinical Commissioning Champion for the Royal College of General Practitioners Centre and has hands on involvement with commissioning through his work for the College. This combination has resulted in a deep understanding of healthcare provision in the UK, expertise that has been further enriched and applied to supporting entrepreneurs during his time at The Young Foundation, a centre for social innovation in London.
Most recently Jacques has developed a deeper theoretical and practical understanding of the place of design in healthcare innovation. His work has been acknowledged by the Royal Society for the Arts of which he is now a Fellow. Jacques' enduring passion is to achieve lasting improvement in health outcomes through a cross sectoral approach.
