Sharon Gardner
Sharon started out her nursing career as an A&E nurse. After gaining four years experience in this field she worked as a community staff nurse in Stockport. This led her to complete her specialist practitioner degree at Manchester Metropolitan University.
During the past eight years she has worked in Stockport in a number of different community nursing settings continuing her role as community sister to support and develop her teams and deliver high quality care.
More recently Sharon has enjoyed working as a clinical lead managing three district nursing teams. Part of this role has included being a project member working on an electronic scheduling and patient management tool that was initially funded by the QNI/Burdett Fund for Innovation and Leadership grant. This involved piloting the initial version, working with software developers to ensure the system was fit for use by nurses.
