Dan Derricot
Dan is a student at the University of Lincoln. Holding a number of roles, from Course Rep to Member of Student Council, he was engaged from early on. This culminated in his election as Vice-President (Academic Affairs) of the students’ union during which he was responsible for building student engagement across the university – particularly through a refreshed reps system.
Upon returning to his final year Dan has continued at Lincoln as a driver of the HEA-funded ‘Student as Producer’ (http://studentasproducer.lincoln.ac.uk) and began working with NUS as a Student Engagement Champion – supporting student unions to develop.
Alongside this, Dan has become a QAA Student Reviewer; a reviewer for the European University Association; and is a registered reviewer for the Irish Universities Quality Board and the European Association for Quality Assurance which evaluates national quality assurance agencies.
Dan now serves on the QAA’s Board of Directors in the student seat, championing the student engagement agenda both within QAA and in the HE sector.
