Jo has worked for South Gloucestershire CYP Services for the past 17 years. She joined the Traveller Education Service six years ago as a Welfare Liaison Officer.

Jo’s main duties include access and attendance, working in a multi-agency way across departments such as Education Welfare Service; Social Services and Youth Offending Team to meet the needs of students and families; visiting unauthorised encampments, preparing welfare reports for planning and Traveller Unit; safeguarding and pupil tracking.

Her areas of particular expertise are working with difficult and avoidant families, conflict-resolution and mediation between families, students and professionals in a way which supports and challenges families and students.
