Gill Frigerio works in the Career Studies Unit of the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Warwick, where she is Course Director of the Management of Student Work Experience programmes and Co-director of the new MA in Career Development and Coaching Studies. As such she has a keen interest in how Universities are supporting work related learning and on the professional development of the staff who support students in seeking work experience.

Gill is seconded from the post of Head of Careers in the Centre for Student Careers and Skills, where she has held careers adviser and manager posts since 1999. She has undertaken research into the impact of work placements on social mobility, the effectiveness of guidance interventions, the use of research led learning in students’ career development.
