Tabitha Brufal
Tabitha is Deputy Director in the Health Improvement Division at the Department of Health. She works on the Public Health Responsibility Deal and leads work on tobacco control.
The Responsibility Deal is a flagship programme for the Coalition Government. What we eat, how much we drink and how active we are is heavily shaped by our environment. Launched in March 2011, the Public Health Responsibility Deal has been established to tap into the potential for businesses and other organisations to improve public health and tackle health inequalities. Over 350 organsiations are now taking part in the Deal.
Tabitha joined the Department of Health in 2000 from the NHS where she worked as a clinical psychologist.
