Professor Lovegrove holds a personal chair as Professor of Education and Development for Allied Health Professions and is a Visiting Professor at Buckinghamshire New University and the University of Queensland. She has extensive experience in academic management and has held a number of local and national roles.

Professor Lovegrove is currently the part-time International Lead for the Faculty of Health and Social Care at London South Bank University; Interim part-time Director of Policy, Council of Deans of Health; and Director of Allied Health Solutions Limited. Her national roles include: Elected member of the Executive of the Council of Deans of Health, Education representative on the DH Professional Advisory Board for Allied Health and Professional Advisor to Centre for Workforce Intelligence.
