Clare Howard

Clare has been working in the sport and recreation industry for over 20 years and is currently working for the Association of Colleges, leading the development of the national sports strategy, supporting the national Portfolio Group for Sport, and supporting Colleges to implement various sports development programmes.

Clare’s career has included posts with local authorities, Sport England and leisure consultancies, including as Director of Prospects4Sport – a facilitation, training, and project management consultancy, delivering over 400 projects for a range of clients including Colleges, Universities, School Sports Partnerships, Local Authorities, NGBs in England and Scotland, County Sport Partnerships, Sport England and the Youth Sport Trust.

Clare has managed and delivered projects involving the production of strategies, research and consultation programmes, evaluation of sports development projects, and she is also an accredited national trainer and facilitator, delivering CPD for staff in sports development, schools, FE and HE.
