Speaker Biography

Sarah Humphrey

Sarah has always had a keen interest in pregnancy and childbirth but spent many years studying and teaching different subjects. After giving birth to four children of her own she began her Bachelor of Midwifery Degree in Aberdeen in 2009. She became a member of the RCM Student Midwife Working Group at the beginning of 2011 and thoroughly enjoy being involved with the RCM.

Her main areas of interest at present are dissecting the evidence surrounding interventions in pregnancy and childbirth, in particular the third stage of labour. So far midwifery has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows and she looks forward to refining her own practice with time and experience.
