Susie has been a qualified and practicing midwife since 1998. She now works full time as a Midwife Teacher at Swansea University having recently left the NHS where she worked as a senior clinical midwife on a busy and challenging labour ward.

She is an active member of the Royal College of Midwives and has been an accredited trade union representative for over 10 years. Teaching interests include normal birth, enhancing normality in high-risk setting and the challenges of contemporary midwifery practice. Susie likes dogs.
