Speaker Biography

Anne Fox

Anne has worked with NCT since July 2007, first as Campaigns Manager, then as Head of Campaigns and Public Policy and has held the role of Head of Corporate Communications since November 2010. Her role involves raising the profile of NCT and effectively communicating the charity vision and strategy internally and externally as well as taking responsibility for changing the wider societal perceptions of parenting.

Anne studied social policy to masters level as well as completing a postgraduate diploma in public relations and has been working in campaigns and charity communications for twelve years. She started her campaigning career at the Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed. Among other roles, she also worked for One Family, Ireland’s largest one-parent family organisation.

Since her move to the UK, Anne worked for a short time at the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health before moving to Mencap where she worked on the Breaking Point and Every Disabled Child Matters campaigns and developed campaigning resources for people with a learning disability and for grassroots activists.

Anne’s passion is to involve and engage beneficiaries in their own campaigning which has been a central theme throughout her career.
