Dr Joanna Newman leads and manages the IEU to ensure it supports the development and sustainability of the UK higher education sector’s influence and competitiveness in a global environment. She was formerly Head of Higher Education at the British Library. She is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Southampton and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
