Lynn Seward
Lynn is Head of Community and Customer Services with Harlow District Council. Her service portfolio includes partnerships, community safety, community engagement, customer services, procurement, leisure and cultural services and a recently-formed ‘Big Society Team’. She is a strong advocate of cross-boundary partnership working and has been involved in a number of such initiatives.
Lynn describes herself as a ‘late starter but an avid learner’, having entered local government 25 years ago with relatively little in the way of qualifications, but then having achieved a Bachelor of Science degree as a mature student and, just recently, an MBA.
Lynn is married with a grown-up daughter and son, and a grand-daughter. When not working or studying she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband – going for long walks, going to the theatre and dining with family and friends.
