Head, Falmouth Marine School.

David Stedman is the Head of Falmouth Marine School and Head of Engineering for the Cornwall College Group, where he has worked for the last 3 years. During this time the engineering results have improved, taking the college into the top 10% nationally of engineering colleges. Stakeholder engagement has also increased with Ofsted rating the college’s stakeholder provision as outstanding in May 2010.

Currently in engineering there are 185 Level 2 and 223 Level 3 apprentices on a variety of frameworks which include Land Based Service Engineering, Marine Engineering, Vehicle Body & Paint, Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Engineering Maintenance and Installation Food Manufacture, PEO and Plant Maintenance, Electrotechnical Services, Engineering Maintenance, Fabrication & Welding, Installation and Commissioning, Mechanical Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. David has worked in the FE sector for the last 11 years and in the Secondary Sector for the previous 17 years.
